Amparo - Support Following Suicide

Amparo supports anyone affected by a suicide death, whether a recent death or a historical death. Our dedicated Suicide Liaison Workers will help an individual, family, workplace or educational establishment through the incredibly isolating and traumatic time of losing a loved one to suicide, and will aid any dealings with the Coroner's Office, Police, media agencies. Amparo will also attend the Inquest if necessary, and can help navigate the process.

The Suicide Liaison Workers seek to support their Amparo beneficiaries via home visits, telephone support and other means of communication that are suitable to the individual. Anyone accessing Amparo will be signposted to agencies, groups and activities which will all aim to reduce isolation and improve the individual's quality of life at such a distressing time.
