Calling all carers in Knowsley – please complete this survey
Do you help to look after a family member or friend who, due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, would struggle without your support? If you do, then Knowsley Council is asking you to spare a few minutes to give them your views.
The council has worked in partnership with local carers and partners to develop a survey which will be used to gather the views of unpaid carers and ensure their voice is at the very heart of the new Knowsley Carers’ Strategy 2020 – 2025.
How can I give my views?
You can complete the survey online or pick up a paper copy at council one-stop shops or libraries. The closing date for responses is 28 February.
In addition to the survey there will be a number of focus groups taking place across the borough. If you would like to attend one of these sessions call the Carers Centre on 0151 549 1412.
What difference will the survey make?
The survey findings will highlight what is important to both adult and young carers in their caring role and what will help them to sustain that role.
A number of priorities and actions from the previous strategy, focused on improving the carer assessment process, providing opportunities for regular personalised breaks and maximising carer’s finances, will also be considered for inclusion in the new strategy due to be published in Spring.
