The Hearing Screening Unit

The Hearing Screening Unit is part of the Department of Paediatric Audiological Medicine and covers Halton, St Helens & Knowsley. The service offers a Newborn Hearing Screen to all babies born at Whiston Hospital or those who are registered with a GP in our area.

Children failing the screen are referred on to Audiology for further testing.
