The First Step - IDSVA (Independent Domestic & Sexual Violence Advocates)

The Knowsley IDSVA (Independent Domestic & Sexual Violence Advocates) Service supports anybody (male and female) from the age of 16 and above who has experienced domestic abuse and has been assessed as high risk of serious harm or murder from a current or ex-partner or family member. 

The IDSVA'S receive referrals that have been referred to Knowsley MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Conference). 

IDSVA's offer advice and support on a variety of issues including; safety planning, housing, criminal justice process, civil and family courts, child contact. IDSVA's advocate on behalf of their clients at MARAC and as needed with a range of organistations and professionals to ensure their voices are heard. IDSVA's will tailor support plans to an individuals needs and make referrals to other agencies if additional support is required.
