Liverpool & Knowsley SEND IASS (Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities, Information, Advice & Support Service)
SEND IASS (special educational needs and/or disability, information, advice and support service) provide free, confidential and impartial information, advice and support to children/young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their parents/carers. We work with families of children and young people from 0-25 and cover issues related to education, health and social care.
SEND IASS are statutory services, which mean there has to be one in every local authority. Liverpool and Knowsley SEND IASS is a combined service for residents of Liverpool and Knowsley and is delivered by WIRED, a registered charity.
Liverpool and Knowsley SEND IASS offer:
- Telephone and email service
- Factsheets about Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- Drop-in/information sessions for parents and carers
- Face-to-face, meeting and appeal support for families that need it
