Early Years Area SENCO

The Early Years Area The Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator is the person who takes the lead in coordinating support for children with SEND in school settings, the Early Years Area SENCO does the same thing with private nurseries and childminders.  SENCO's are the main contact for parents who have concerns about their child's SEND. will support private nurseries and childminders to support children with additional needs in their A setting can mean a nursery or a child minder. .  This support includes;

• observations of the children in the A setting can mean a nursery or a child minder.
• offering advice, support and guidance to the practitioners
• attendance at child review meetings
• support with the transition process to the child's next A setting can mean a nursery or a child minder.

We only work with families that are referred through SETTINGs.
