Halsnead Primary

SEN Information Report

SEN Policy

Halsnead is a school in Whiston with a long history and tradition. Although not a church school, Halsnead was first opened in the old Church Hall on Dragon Lane in 1872. In 1940, the school moved into the present building and in 1968 a totally separate Junior school building was opened.

Our vision is that every child that attends Halsnead reaches their own personal and academic excellence and is motivated to be a life-long learner. We believe that we can only do our very best when we work together, in genuine partnership with you and the wider community. This is the beginning of a special partnership with children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community.

Our school is a special place full of learning, laughter and friendship where everyone is happy, feels safe and is valued. We enjoy the present, but look to the future - and aspire to equip our children with the skills, curiosity and resilience they need to continue learning throughout their lives. Our children deserve the best. Our duty is to provide it.

Our hard working and dedicated staff have high expectations of all children and seek to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum that enables all children to reach high aspirations.
