St Marie's Catholic Primary

SEN School Local Offer

Welcome to St Marie’s Catholic Primary School we endeavour to provide all our pupils with an education which enables them to reach their full potential. We provide an atmosphere in which our children feel secure and valued, with each child treated as an individual and encouraged to develop his or her own special talents.

Our Catholic ethos and mission statement for St. Marie’s is, Walking, hand in hand with Jesus, which permeates everyday life in both our school community and through our partnership with the Parish of St. Mary’s and our families, where we aim to live through the Gospel values and celebrate our faith. We believe that a successful partnership between parents, children and school, leads to a happy environment for everyone to flourish in.

We demonstrate our mission statement daily by:

  • Nurturing our Gospel Values on our journey of faith.
  • Sowing the seeds of lifelong learning.
  • Celebrating uniqueness and diversity by working with the global community.

We would encourage you to visit our school website and learn more about the wonderful opportunities and experiences our children enjoy.  We continue to look at ways in which we can challenge our children to enable them to reach their full potential and continue on this lifelong learning journey.

We offer A Breakfast and Afterschool Provision to all children from Reception to Year 6 at the cost of £1.00 per session.  Children can enjoy a healthy breakfast, spend time with friends playing games, enjoying craft or physical activities.

We have the beauty of extensive grounds around St Marie’s with a wonderful woodland area for our Nursery, Reception Year 1 and Year 2 children to enjoy where they can develop their love and appreciation for nature, through physical play, maths and literacy is our door learning areas. They can enjoy racing around our woodland road track.

Within our grounds we have an extremely large and beautiful Wildflower garden, with different sensory garden areas, of touch, smell, sounds etc a prayer area together with an outdoor classroom area.  We have a large vegetable garden where children can enjoy planting vegetables which are then used by children in various meal preparation classes.  The whole area is surrounded by a one mile natural track.  The children have daily free access to this area during breaks and lunchtimes.

At St Marie’s we have an extensive Physical Education programme and participate annually in the Schools Partnership Competitions.  We are supported in our Physical Education delivery by Liverpool Foundation and Total Gymnastics who both deliver weekly sessions and we have a separate Sports and Arts building to support all our activities.
