Knowsley’s Special Educational Needs and Disability 0-25 Joint Commissioning Strategy 2018-2021 – have your say!

A SEND 0-25 Joint Commissioning Strategy for Knowsley is currently been developed following the launch of the SEND strategy 2018-2021 earlier this year and we want you to help us shape it.

The purpose of the strategy is to provide direction for how we jointly commissioning services for SEND and ensure positive outcomes for children and young people.

In line with the SEND strategy for Knowsley, the draft joint commissioning strategy sets out Knowsley’s collective vision that all children in Knowsley will have the best start in life, will thrive and will aim high and achieve their potential. To make sure that we achieve this, the strategy outlines

  • the way we will work and
  • how we will jointly commission SEND services with partners and
  • the priority areas that joint commissioning will focus on.

We are currently in the process of taking the strategy through consultation and engagement with key stakeholders, and we see your views and suggestions about the strategy content as being vital to this process. This is your opportunity to have your say and help shape our approach to SEND in Knowsley.

Please have a look at the draft strategy (see link below) and consider whether it reflects your knowledge and experience of the key issues. Are we on the right lines?

Your feedback will be appreciated and will help shape the strategy - please send this to SEND@knowsley.gov.uk by Friday 27th July.
