Specialist Educational Support

Knowsley has 2 services working with Children Looked After (CLA) they are Family Support Child Looked After (CLA) Service who provide contact visits for children and parents who are unable to live together.

In Knowsley we have a Sensory Impairment Service 0 – 25 years which has information for both visual and hearing impaired.  This team works with the local Children's Therapy Service and offer Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy

The Positive Behaviour Support Service (PBSS) supports children and adults whose challenging behaviour is impacting upon their family and services around them, reducing their quality of life and will possibly lead to expulsion from community based services
